Characteristic Mode Analysis: Application to Electromagnetic Radiation, Scattering, and Coupling Problems

نویسندگان

چکیده

Recent years, the theory of characteristic modes has emerged as a powerful analysis technique in antenna engineering, providing means to reveal natural resonant properties objects and variety modal parameters. Based on these parameters, advanced techniques have been developed based address wide range electromagnetic radiation, scattering, coupling problems. This review provides an overview some latest mode-based for wide-band design, circular polarization, radiation pattern control, scattering mutual control. In addition, future perspectives are discussed, highlighting potential addressing even more complex electromagnetics

Three-Dimensional Biorthogonal Multi-Resolution Time-Domain Method and its Application to Electromagnetic Scattering Problems

A three-dimensional multi-resolution time-domain (MRTD) analysis is presented based on a biorthogonal-wavelet expansion, with application to electromagnetic-scattering problems. We employ the Cohen-Daubechies-Feauveau (CDF) biorthogonal wavelet basis, characterized by the maximum number of vanishing moments for a given support. We utilize wavelets and scaling functions of compact support, yield...
